Mediaworks is an award-winning digital marketing agency which has grown significantly since its inception in 2007. Following a referral from our client, Bede Gaming, Mediaworks appointed us to help them with their relocation from the Team Valley to Honeycomb at The Watermark.
The relocation to Honeycomb would enable Mediaworks to better accommodate their expanding team by providing a larger and higher quality working environment. The brief included the need to provide the Mediaworks creative team with greater think space with individual huddle hubs as well as a new social space to enable staff to take a break from their digital devices to unwind. Another requirement was to provide an 80+seater auditorium which could facilitate the delivery of seminars and monthly Masterclasses.
We worked as principle contractor as a part of tri-party project with Design North (design) and Mableson Hall (external project management) on the design and build project to fit-out a 10,000 sq.ft floorplate within a modern three-storey office building.
Mediaworks required a fully bespoke space solution which included open plan and partitioned offices, breakout areas and informal meeting spaces, a new reception area and a bespoke kitchen and dining area.
The fit-out included a host of innovative and creative features:
- Exposed ceiling and services sprayed in the client’s corporate blue
- Bleacher seating to help cater for largescale seminars and training sessions
- A number of feature breakout spaces and informal meeting spaces
- Digitally printed wallpaper
- BCapacity to grow headcount by an additional 40 people
- Double and single glazed partitions
- Desso carpet tiles
- Modification of the existing HVAC system
The project was successfully delivered within a relatively short timescale of 11 weeks and the quality of both the build and level of service, exceeded client expectations. As a rapidly expanding local company, which operates in a dynamic sector, the Mediaworks project was a fantastic one to be involved in and we are delighted with the excellent feedback from our client.
